If Local Plan policies are fully implemented there will be an additional 615 new houses built on the edge of Tavistock over the next 10 years as well as a new industrial estate at Brook on the opposite side of Plymouth Road from Bishopsmead. Such large scale developments will require very sensitive design if they are to blend harmoniously with their surroundings and be faithful to local building styles.
