following table shows the numbers of people aged under 16, and their proportion
of the total population (Census 2001).

A survey of residents in Tavistock North completed in March 2003 showed that, of those who replied (280 out of 2200), 47% think that there should be more done for young people. 36% would like to see more mini and junior soccer pitches; 35% want better evening transport; 34% a skatepark; 28% a cyber café; 25% an out-of-town night club; 25% want financial help getting to work and 12% want village mini cyber cafes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
