| T1.8 Public transport travel times to Plymouth | |
The
train takes 24 minutes from Bere Alston to Plymouth railway station
and 17 minutes from Bere Ferrers to Plymouth. |
|
The First Western National services 83, 84 and 86 between Tavistock and Plymouth centres take 55 minutes. The service runs from Monday to Saturday and there are 2 or 3 buses every hour during the day (last departures Tavistock 2255 and Plymouth Royal Parade 2345) with some additional services at various times. It takes
1 hour and 35 minutes on the 86 bus service from Lydford to Plymouth.
For
villages off the 86 route, bus journeys involve a
connection which is rarely convenient. For example, there is one bus
(on Thursdays only) from Kelly to Tavistock which takes 26 minutes.
There is then a 14 minute wait in Tavistock for a bus into Plymouth,
making the total journey time 1½ hours. |
