| T2.5 Ease of obtaining information about public transport | |
Comprehensive
timetable information is available from the internet. |

Traveline on 0870 608 2608 provides a timetable information service during working hours for local and national travel. It is best used for particular queries rather than reviewing all options, where the internet might be more useful. Bus timetables can be viewed in Tavistock library. Compendium guides are available for collection from information centres. Timetable information is not, in general, well displayed at bus stops. Several bus stops have no display boards at all. Where boards do exist, the timetables are sometimes inaccurate, printing is often faded, perspex covers cracked or misted and the boards positioned at an inconvenient height. There appears
to be no way of accessing real-time travel information to find out about
late-running or cancelled services, for instance. |
