With a big vision and a widespread community, work towards a better future is being managed within the following themes:

Experience shows how people from different backgrounds meeting together can work up good ideas. These groups are known as themed study groups – or theme groups – and they meet from time to time to study particular issues and consider potential solutions. They do not discuss policies (which is the role of elected councils) but propose and encourage projects that help with delivering the strategic aims for the Tavistock area.

The theme groups can call on expert guidance from West Devon Borough Council officers and other professionals. A steering group member heads the work of each theme and if you would like to contribute your ideas for the area’s future, do contact one of the leaders below:
